About me
I'm Erika, a simple person like my name suggests, currently residing in Rowlett, Texas. Happily married to my middle school crush, Omar Cardenas, for eighteen (18) years now and counting. I currently earn a living working as a Public Service Officer within the Federal Government sector for 20+ years. Working in government-leased buildings and experiencing two different relocations to the Las Colinas area sparked my interest and my passion for interior design in the first place. After two decades of hard work and dedication, I graduated from the University of North Texas (Denton) with a BAAS in Business Management - Interior Design. I describe my style as organic with its landscapes and gardens, such as French cottage homes for their sophisticated, elegant, and rustic style. Traditional styles such as courtyard design homes for outdoor living spaces and a sense of security. Landscape design for the natural beauty that mother nature has graciously provided us season by season.
Owner at Artefacto Interiors as a freelance interior designer specializing in hospitality/residential design for short-term rentals, vacation homes, and lake homes. We currently offer online consultation services and mood boards for upgrades and remodeling projects. Together with my husband Omar, whom has many years of experience working as an independent contractor.
